Feature and Memoir Writing with Henry McDonald and Rachael Weiss

If you’re interested in writing magazine style articles of up to 3,000 words or constructing a memoir based on all of your life, or a significant part of it, then Henry and Rachael's Features and Memoir Writing course is for you. These two experienced writers will take students on a journey from the basics of feature writing through to the art of penning a memoir. The course will also offer practical advice on how to pitch your ideas for a feature or book; exactly where to send that pitch and which ideas are currently in vogue in the newspaper, magazine and publishing worlds.

Henry McDonald has been a journalist for almost 25 years and has worked for The Guardian, The Observer, The Sunday Times, Evening Press, Irish News, BBC Northern Ireland and Channel 5 News.

Rachael Weiss is a bestselling Australian author of three memoirs: Are We There Yet (2005), Me, Myself and Prague (2008), and the recently launched The Thing about Prague (http://www.allenandunwin.com/default.aspx?page=94&book=9781760111021).
