The Centre caters for writers at every stage of their journeys and tries to cater for a spectrum of writing styles and genres. We welcome proposals from published writers who feel they can add to the program.

If you have an idea for a course or workshop and would like to teach at the Centre please send an outline of the course along with your writing c.v., which should include details of previous teaching experience and books published.

Submissions should be mailed to:

Education Department
Irish Writers’ Centre,
19 Parnell Square,
Dublin 1.

Alternatively email submissions can be sent to info@writerscentre.ie.

Guidelines for applicants

All of our tutors are professional writers with a substantial portfolio in the field in which they teach. To run a course at the Centre you must have had books published in your own name by a publishing house, or produced plays that have been performed professionally, or scripts that have made it to the screen or poetry that has wow'd the judges and rocked the world! Please keep your c.v. relevant to writing and the course you are pitching. Please include the title of your latest book and the name of the publishing house or, in the case of plays, the title of your latest play and the name of the theatre.

When putting together an outline of the course think about how the lessons will be broken down, what will be covered, who the course is aimed at and what students should achieve by taking the course.
