TESTIMONIALS

“I can heartily recommend the ‘Finish Your Novel’ course with Conor Kostick at the Irish Writers' Centre after signing up for it during the summer of 2012. I had a novel in draft and was at the stage where I needed guidance to help me continue. Conor, along with the class, encouraged me to go for it and also provided detailed and perceptive input into scenes and characters from the book e.g. he was able to spot that the main issue with one particular antagonist was his intense moral laziness! His advice to stay in the moment and not rush too quickly from scene to scene proved invaluable. That novel is White Feathers and it is due out this autumn, so I'll be delighted to include Conor in the acknowledgements, and would warmly recommend this course for anyone else who needs the encouragement.”
—Susan Lanigan

“Conor Kostick’s ‘Finish your Novel’ course is, in my view, one of the best resources available to emerging and fledgling writers who will benefit enormously from his knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm. I have always found him to be insightful in his comments, with an unerring instinct for what works in fiction and helpful suggestions for improvement. Conor’s course is interactive, positive and completely engaging.”
—Imelda McDonagh

“When two of Conor Kostick’s past pupils, both published authors in different genres, recommended his class to me I took note. His course, Finishing Your Novel, delivers. It is a carefully structured, well-rounded course that pushes writers on to reach their full potential. It does exactly what it says on the tin!”
—Susan Condon

“I attended an all day workshop led by Conor when I was a recently-published writer, and am still benefitting from it. Conor is an excellent facilitator organised, approachable and highly professional, with a real ability to communicate with other writers.”
—Sheena Wilkinson, author of the award-winning Taking Flight and Grounded.

“Conor Kostick's course helped strengthen my writing to such a degree that I succeeded in finishing it. The workshopping among the participant's of our 'works in progress' was particularly beneficial with Conor's input invaluable. Conor delivers the course with a professional attitude and insightful advice. Highly recommend it.”
—Patricia Gibney

“Monday evenings were the highlight of my week from September to December last year. Conor Kostick’s Finish Your Novel course gave me the encouragement and technical help I needed to address some essential questions about my novel. Conor strikes just the right note with his relaxed yet authoritative style. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is ready to come out of their writing bubble and move the work forward. Great way to connect with like-minded people.”
—Claire O’Dea
