Karen Gillece Karen Gillece

Karen Gillece was born in Dublin in 1974 and studied Law at UCD. Her debut novel Seven Nights in Zaragoza was published in 2005 to critical acclaim, and was followed by Longshore Drift (2006), My Glass Heart (2007) and The Absent Wife (2008). She was short-listed for the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award and in 2009 was the Irish winner of the European Union Prize for Literature. Her novels have been translated into several languages. She has been the recipient of an Arts Council literature bursary and is currently working on her fifth novel.

 

 
Sean O'Reilly Sean O'Reilly

Sean O'Reilly grew up in Derry. His published work includes the short-story collection, Curfew and Other Stories (2000), the novels Love and Sleep (2002)and The Swing of Things (2004, all Faber & Faber) and the experimental novella Watermark (2005, Stinging Fly Press). He has been writer-in-residence with Dublin City Council, Fingal Country Council and Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design & Technology (IADT). He has also led writing workshops at both the Listowel and Cúirt literary festivals. He lives in Dublin and teaches regularly at the Irish Writers' Centre. He is also a contributing editor to The Stinging Fly magazine.
