Eoin McNamee Eoin McNamee

Eoin McNamee was born in Kilkeel, Co Down in 1961. His novels include Resurrection Man,  The Ultras,  The Blue Tango and 12 23. His latest novel is Orchid Blue, based on the execution of   Robert McGladdery for the murder of Pearl Gamble. He is the author of the John Creed series of crime novels including The Sirius Crossing which won the CWA Steel Dagger. He has also published the Navigator and Ring of Five series for children. 

 

 

 
Órlaith Foyle Orflaith Foyle

Órfhlaith Foyle was born in Africa to Irish parents. She has lived in Nigeria, Kenya and Malawi as well as Australia. She now lives in Galway Ireland.Her first novel Belios was published by The Lilliput Press in 2005. An anthology of her poetry and short fiction Revenge was published by Arlen House also in 2005. Her first full poetry collection Red Riding Hood's Dilemma was published by Arlen House in 2010 and was short-listed for the Rupert and Eithne Strong Award in 2011. Her story Somewhere in Minnesota was first published in the Faber and Faber New Irish Short Stories, ed. by Joseph O'Connor in 2011.

Somewhere in Minnesota is the title story of Órfhlaith's debut short story collection published by Arlen House in 2011.

*Following the Peregrine Reading with Eoin McNamee and Órfhlaith Foyle in The Church of Ireland, Portumna (7.30pm) will be a Short poeTREE reading in a local Hostelry.
