                        Deirdre Purcell | 
                       
                      
                        | Deirdre Purcell was born and brought up in Dublin, and educated there   and in a County Mayo convent. Before turning to the writing of fiction,   she lived through an eclectic set of careers, including acting, as a   member of the permanent company of Ireland`s National Theatre (The   Abbey), and journalism for all media - for which she won Ireland`s top   awards. She has written numerous fiction and non-fiction bestsellers and   currently presents a radio programme for RTE. Deirdre's fiction include, amongst others, Children of Eve, A Place of Stones, That Childhood Country, Ashes of Roses, Pearl and Days We Remember. |

                        Martin Malone | 
                       
                      
                        Martin Malone is the author of five novels, a memoir, a short story   collection and several radio plays. His first novel Us was shortlisted   for the K.I. Irish Fiction Award and won the John B.Keane/Sunday   Independent Literary Award.  His novel The Broken Cedar was IMPAC   nominated. RTE TV optioned another novel, After Kafra, while his   latest novel, The Only Glow of the Day, was recently and successfully   transferred to stage as Rosanna Nightwalker – the Wren of the Curragh.   He is a winner of RTE’s Francis MacManus Short Story Award and the   Killarney International Short Story Prize; and also the recipient of   several literature bursaries from the Arts Council of Ireland. Kildare   County Council awarded him the inaugural Cecil Day Lewis Literature   Bursary.

                        Michael J Farrell | 
                       
                      
                        | Michael J Farrell grew up in County Longford, Ireland. He has edited the annual   literary reviews, Everyman and Aquarius. He was an editor at the National   Catholic Reporter in the US. His novel Papabile won the Thorpe Menn Award in   1998.In 2009 he published a collection of short stories Life In The Universe (The Stinging Fly Press). His stories have appeared in Let's Be   Alone Together (The Stinging Fly Press, 2008) and The Faber Book of Best   New Irish Short Stories, 2006-2007, while another was runner-up for the RTE   Francis McManus Award in 2006. |
